Great idea!
I absolutely adore those coloured metallic needles. Also just letting you know my blog has moved from lixieknitsit.blogspot.com to http://lixiemakesit.blogspot.com
That's what I did with most of my older straight needles. I never use them anymore. It feels nice to enable new knitters!
