even better

What's better than an evening of spirited performance of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, on a pier, with the moon rising over the water, and my two favorites munchkins psyched to see it (thank you, Jim Weiss)?
Meeting another knitter at the show and discovering that her kids were homeschooled too.

And realizing by the end of the evening that, if I play my cards right, I could have TWO scarves blocking today!

Hey! That's me knitting my daughter's sweater!

I loved the geese flying across the almost-full moon during the performance. I did not love the wife-submission message of this play. I liked it better when the men all fell into the pond at the end, a few years ago.

How did you guys find out about the Shakespeare plays? They sound wicked fun. They put one on at St Joes...and everyone sat around them on the green...but I never made it.

Isn't it fun when you find other knitters in public? I went to a Pawsox game a couple of weeks ago and pulled out my knitting. The lady behind me pulled hers out at the same time. We both laughed!

What an evening! It reminds me of the scene from Cinema Paradiso when they watch the movie outside. How pretty to have the moonlight as your guide.

Good luck on those scarves!
